Our Charitable Partnerships

What our past and current clients have to say:

1 in 9: The Long Island Breast Cancer Action Coalition

A high majority of breast cancer cases fall outside the know risk categories. Established in 1990, 1 in 9 is a group of dedicated volunteers who make it their mission to promote awareness of the breast cancer, educate the public about the epidemic and support research to find cures for breast cancer and other related cancers.”On behalf of 1 in 9: The Long Island Breast Cancer Action Coalition we would like to thank you for all you do for us. Through the help we get from your clothing bins and clothing drive, we are able to continue our programs here at Hewlett House. Your support helps our organization fulfill it’s mission of promoting awareness of the breast cancer epidemic through education, advocacy, and direct support of breast and cancer related research. We have also been able to give out over 400 wigs, 1100 bras and numerous head coverings, scarves and camisoles to uninsured or under insured cancer patients.”Very truly yours,

Board of Directors

New Jersey & New York Volunteer Firemen’s Association

“Dear Mr. Field,The New Jersey & New York Volunteer Firemen’s Association is a fraternal organization with over 900 active members and 130 member fire departments. The purpose of the organization is to promote a fraternal network and to share news and ideas for firefighting. We, the association give out college scholarships to member firefighters and their families. We also provide a Death Benefit (currently set at 1,000.00 and raised each year at our annual convention) for the surviving family of a firefighter upon his or her demise. At our annual convention that is held in June of each year, we give out Valor Awards, both individual and company and we give out a Community Service Award to a deserving individual. The recipient of the Individual Valor Award also receives a stipend of $500.00 to $1000.00. We also put out a newspaper five to six times a year with information supplied to from various firehouses throughout Bergen and Rockland counties. All of the above is made possible by the efforts of H&M Leasing Corp. With their monetary help we have been able to start these programs and increase their worth each year. If the funding from H&M Leasing Corp. were to stop then the programs would eventually diminish and be eliminated. That is something that we are not looking forward to after all the enthusiasm that has been generated over these programs. So, in closing, thank you again for your support and efforts in helping us maintain these programs.”
